Chef Eui-Jeong “EJ” Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea. His interest in culinary arts came from his deep curiosity with flavors and the different techniques used to combine and bring different components together to create amazing dishes. He is a graduate of the Culinary and Hospitality Institute of Chicago.
In 2012, Chef EJ was introduced to Chef Rodelio Aglibot, who inspired him more and was able to train him further into becoming who he is now. Hired as the senior sous chef for E+O Food and Drink, EJ has been promoted to Chef de Cuisine.
E + O Restaurant in Mount Prospect brings Filipino flavors to its globally influenced, New American menu. While E+O’s Executive Chef Rodelio Aglibot is traveling, Chef EJ will cook for Kultura Festival.
While the recipes are Chef Rodelio's, Chef EJ said, "The event looks like a great way for me to see and experience more about the Filipino culture. The style and flavors of the food are different and unique. I love the different combination of flavors, and textures."
